This weekend Jason was on call so when he got home Saturday morning we went straight to Snow City to try the best breakfast in town. It lived up to our expectations! So far we have survived the Heart Attack Platter we consumed as it was balanced by their renowned granola and yogurt parfait.

That afternoon, we took Jason to Campbell Park to see the salmon and to show off Willem's horse riding skills. Learned from a local that the salmon are just starting to run, so we haven't seen anything yet. He told us to look forward to a big uptick in the amount of salmon and bears nearby in the coming months. A bit more scared than excited by that prediction...
On Sunday we ventured down to the end of our street and hopped on a trail that took us over to the University of Alaska. We walked through a tunnel to get under a busy road and that was a huge hit with Willem.
