Eating breakfast en route to Salt Lake City. The kids look like they could wake up at 4am everyday and be ready to go! We were excited to see a bit of Salt Lake City as we were landing, what a beautiful city! We had a chance to stretch our legs and then we were off for our 4 hour flight to Anchorage.
Ellie loved it when she got to sit in her own seat. She wants to be doing whatever her brother is doing and quickly figured out how to unbuckle the seat belt.
Willem was very excited to have his friend Marley on the flights with us. Willem and Marley colored and watched movies and the flight to Anchorage went by a lot faster than we had thought it might. Dad and Ellie liked the games they provided on the tv screens and Mom enjoyed catching up on some reading. All in all a great start to our trip!
When we arrived in Alaska and got settled into our apartment Willem declared, "I love Alaska!".
To celebrate our first night here we went to The Moose's Tooth for dinner. Didn't try the reindeer pizza but had some delicious food and and enjoyed the great company. Our family was melting so it was off to bed from there, at least that's what Mom and Dad had hoped. But hey, it's hard to feel tired when the sun is up.
