Willem's Preschool Bday Celebration

Jason was off the week before Willem's birthday so the entire family came to Willem's school to celebrate his Birthday.

Willem brought a special item to share with his friends and put it in the birthday box.

Desert Breeze Train Park

While Jason was in Alaska we met friends at a new train park and Willem was very excited to share the new park with Dad.

The hit of the park is this fire engine. Willem could have stayed on there all day long.

While in California, we had the kids room painted and surprised Willem with painting his closet doors with chalkboard paint. Look at him writing his name!

Our happy baby girl! Ellie continues to be all smiles and an occasional snort.

The kids love taking baths together, they play and splash grandma and have a good time.

March 2011 Trip to California

With Jason back from Alaska, we made a trip over to California to visit the Weiss'. Opa and Willem enjoyed building a sand castle on this breezy day.

Our tradition of taking a picture on the Seal Beach Pier. Oh willem has grown from his 1st picture taken just shy of 3 years ago.

Disneyland, here we come!

Our 1st family trip to Disneyland with Ellie. Don't the kids look so excited!

Willem loved Dumbo! He kept moving Dumbo up and down with the lever.

Ahhh! ellie loves having her daddy back, she missed her nap partner.

We have become those parents who take their kids to places of personal significance. Luckily USC has lots of grass, cool statues and food. Willem loved running around and exploring. We had the campus all to ourselves since it was Spring Break and couldn't believe how much has changed.

Our fertile apple tree is planted

The last month or so Willem's been picking out his own clothes and dressing himself, we love his sense of style!! He was very helpful in digging a hole for our family's apple tree.

With love we planted the placenta that nourished Ellie for 10 months and now it will be providing great fertilizer for apples we'll be enjoying for years.

Festival of Books

We went down to Tuscon for the U of A Festival of Books and my dream of meeting the Berenstein Bears has been fulfilled!

We found a great restaurant nearby that had a table just the right height for Willem, that was a hit!

Willem and Reese are growing up so quickly! They had a great time playing together sans parents.

We are all missing Dad/Jason a lot!! We barely recognize him when we facetime each evening as he's keeping with tradition and growing a beard.
