Ellie's 1st Dance Recital

Ellie has loved taking dance this semester. Though not a fan of tap so far (way too loud for her), she enjoys ballet. She is very attentive in class each week and tries to do exactly what Ms. Amanda does. Her friends Belle and Hannah are in the class as well and that made it even more fun for her.
I predict Ellie is going to be quite into acting and drama. She can be quite dramatic at home and at the recital, she thoroughly enjoyed being on stage. I wasn't sure how she would react as there were a lot of people in the audience, but she smiled big and did her routine.

How cute is Ellie??

The whole family came out for the performance. After being on the sideline for Willem's activities the last couple of years, it was nice for her to be in the spotlight for a bit.

Random May Happenings

Audrey is growing so quickly! She has a quiet, calm disposition so far and is super snuggly. She is a great sleeper but was teething this month so would often end up in bed with us at night. We are definitely cherishing this time with her since we know she is our last.

Ellie loves taking violin lessons especially because she gets to see Megyn's cat and dog at her lessons.

Audrey has become quite the climber. When outside she can get up in the playset by herself. Where I often find her when the house gets too quiet, is standing on top of the toilet seat in our bathroom. I have a hair accessory organizer that hangs from our towel rack in there and she'll climb up on the toilet seat and play with the hairbands for a LONG time. She loves having her hair done or doing my hair and she regularly asks for her nails to be painted.

For Mother's Day Jason had to work and the kids were in Ohio for Emma's graduation, so that night Jason took Audrey and I to the Chihuly exhibit at the Botanical Garden. It was beautiful!!

Visiting the Bay Area

We had not visited Aunt Pamela since she moved back to the Bay Area so for a late birthday celebration, we went to Napa Valley for the weekend. We could have stayed at Pamela's house all weekend, it was so peaceful there! She has a beautiful view of the bay and a warm, inviting home. Hope to go back soon!!

On Saturday we kicked off our day of wine tasting by having brunch at Boon Fly Cafe. Great food and beautiful grounds!

We went to a number of wineries and were pleasantly surprised by house close they were to one another. Made it easy to go from one place to the next.

Though a random connection, we ended up getting reservations at Ad Hoc. Christina and Jeff drove over from the city to join us. We had a great time catching up and the food was delicious. They served the meal family style and had great wine pairings with each course.

The next day we took a ferry to the city to visit Christina and Jeff. The ferry ride provided us an hour to take in the views.

Can't believe Christina lives in the heart of the city! She and Jeff showed us around the shopping district, the Goodwill Boutique (found an awesome dress!!), and a few other areas of the City. We really just meandered around and used public transportation, was very relaxed.

We can't wait to come back in October and see more of the sights!!
