We met up with some friends to stay cool at the Zoo's splash pad but on the way we stopped to feed the giraffes. Not sure if Willem or Jason & I enjoy this activity more, but it's a family hit.

Willem is a big helper around the house, he is constantly asking to help with whatever we are doing, especially cooking and the laundry. I could get used to this:) On Friday nights we make pizza and Willem has gotten really good at rolling out the dough.

Tia Julie came to visit and moments before leaving for the airport, pulled a drum set out of her suitcase. Interesting timing:)

Om Rik and Willem heading out for a bike ride. Willem loves having Om Rik around and seems to be imitating his style a bit. Yesterday we were heading out to go swimming and he insisted on having sunglasses and a backpack(which he made out of a reusable grocery bag). We usually can't get him to put sunglasses on with any amount of bribing.

June was also momentous in that it marked Jason's completion of his prelim year. June 21st was the official start date of his Categorical General Surgery Residency. Only 5 years to go on this part of our adventure!

When Grandma visited she left behind a basketball hoop for Willem, which has been an absolute hit! Since we planted grass back in May we haven't been playing outside much so playing basketball indoors has become a fun family activity.
