Grandma came to town and we went to the World Wildlife Zoo. Willem really liked the giraffes and the train. On a scale of 1 to 10, the train ranked 10 and the animals were probably right around a 2, but he put up with our interest in seeing the animals. Jason really liked the acquarium and even touched a stingray.

In looking for pics for this post I realized that about a quarter of the pictures we have lately were taken by Willem. He's become quite the photographer.
Aunt Rachel works at Starbucks and Willem loves visiting her to get a world class smoothie. He's also become quite the barrista at home, insisting on making smoothies a few times a week using the magic bullet.
Month 2 of swim lessons went great. Willem is super comfortable jumping in the pool and putting his face under water.
One of our latest trips to the park, Willem is definitely going through park withdrawal with this 110 degree weather. Still a huge fan of the swings!
For his birthday, Opa, Lita and Opi found a train bed for Willem. He is quite proud of his bed and slept in it for the first couple of weeks after we moved into the new house. He insists on bringing at least 4 train books to bed with him and when we find him after his nap we are always wondering where he ended up sleeping because the books seem to take over the bed:)
