Misc April

In April we began the renovations on our new home and moved in at the end of the month. It was exciting times and luckily we had lots of family help for the countless trips to Home Depot, Target, etc. It's now to the point where Willem states, "No Home Depot Mommy." when we pull up to the store. Willem loved being around the contractors and took to wearing his had and tool belt to work on projects of his own. In April we also were lucky enough to have Om Rik move in. Willem thoroughly enjoys having another playmate around.

Willem Turns 2

On April 10th Willem turned 2 years old. We can't believe how the last 2 years have flown by. And just like the day of his arrival, he entered his 3rd year of life surrounded by family and friends. We had a small Train themed birthday party at our local park with some of Willems friends from playgroup along with the family. He was in heaven and ever since believes we should spend everyones birthday at the park. A couple weeks after Willem's birthday, he just didn't understand why Paw Paw wanted to go to dinner at a restaurant for his birthday rather than the park:)

Easter

Grandma came to visit for Willem's Birthday and was able to celebrate Easter with us. This was the first Easter where Willem participated in all the Easter festivities. We decided to go to the Easter Egg Hunt at Encanto Park so he'd have other kids around and he seemed to really enjoy the festivities, especially watching the train.

Grandma also made a special Easter cake with Willem--the jelly beans were a big hit!
